| Parents in Sport Week:|
“The NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) has launched the Sports Parents Promise as part of its annual awareness raising campaign, Parents in Sport Week, 7-13 October 2019.
The Promise outlines all the ways in which parents can be the best sports parents they can be, by ensuring their child has safe and enjoyable experiences of sport.
Parents can make the Promise online and, in return, they will be directed to vital information about how to keep their child safe in sport. They can also download a certificate of their own to share on social media or print out and stick up on the fridge.
Show your child you support them taking part in sport by making the Promise at the cpsu.org.uk/parentspromise and spread the word using the hashtag #SportsParents.

The Principles of Scrummaging CPD now replaces the Scrum Factory CPD.
Here’s an overview of the new course:
“The Principles of Scrummaging CPD aims to increase the number of players able to play in the scrum, particularly the front row. This course is a blend of theory / practical and looks at exploring England Rugby’s principles of scrummaging, as well as at recent developments in scrum coaching and match officiating.
The course is designed to help coaches, match officials and players to understand individual and collective techniques as well as position specific conditioning, developing these in a fun and engaging way.”
